This article, on the ineffectiveness of IVF appeared in The Daily Mail in 2016 (see photos).

To give you a brief run down of his background, Lord Winston is Professor of Science and Society and Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College London.

In the 1970s he developed gynaecological surgical techniques that improved fertility treatments. He later pioneered new treatments to improve in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and developed pre-implantation diagnosis, which allowed embryos to be screened for genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis.

He is quoted as saying in the article: "There is excellent evidence that more than half of those referred to IVF could be treated as, or more, successfully by far cheaper alternatives."

Now I don't know if Professor Winston is aware of the effectiveness of KORE Therapy and Acupuncture in

treating fertility problems, but I can certainly recommend these two treatments.

In fact I have had 3 successes so far using one, or a combination of the two treatments. I also have had a 'Bowen Technique baby" credited to my clinic. Three successes referred to by their mothers - my clients - as their "Miracle Babies".

Professor Winston is right when he says "IVF is not a very successful treatment in spite of what all the clinics tell people. A large proportion of cycles don't work and it's very expensive". It also messes with your hormones until you don't know your head from your elbow. I've watched hormonal imbalances caused by IVF treatment change a friend's personality and seen it - and the stress of its financial burden - break up marriages.

Both KORE Therapy and Acupuncture are much, much cheaper options to IVF intervention. Plus they are gentle on the body and its systems, in fact helping to correct other issues in the body too. Both can help to:

. Regulate the menstrual cycle . Improve blood circulation to the pelvic region, including the ovaries and uterus . Help support ovulation dysfunction . Help to improve sperm health . Help to counteract stress levels which may be interfering with the ability to conceive

The goal of an Acupuncture fertility treatment from a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) perspective is not just to get pregnant, but to stay pregnant and have a healthy baby.

This is where the KORE Therapy helps too. Before treating anyone for infertility with Acupuncture, I always check their structural alignment first; otherwise it's like putting a sticking plaster on a broken leg!

Once a pelvic misalignment is corrected, giving a greater chance that a pregnancy will 'hold', then the Acupuncture can begin.

Sometimes the Acupuncture has not even been necessary; sometimes just a correction to the pelvic bowl is all that's been needed for me to receive the excited phone call from the mother-to-be!

I love my work!
