Anmo Fu Abdominal Massage

Anmo Fu is an ancient healing system from China, and rooted within the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory that our internal organs control and enhance not only our physical bodies, but also our mental and emotional condition.

Based upon the flow of energy around the body, which interconnects the organs according to a series of functions, it is unique to traditional Chinese medicine. Each organ is not just an anatomical unit, but also part of an energy meridian - or channel - which is linked to other functions in the body, including emotions.

Anmo Fu is an oil-based abdominal massage which helps to balance the internal organs, to clear blockages and to stimulate the flow the energy - or Qi - throughout the body, thereby promoting good health, and enabling the organs to function to the best of their abilities, given today's lifestyles.

Many things can affect the functioning of our internal organs and digestive system, stress being the major factor here. However, accidents and surgery will also have a huge impact on the functional ability due to scar tissue creating torsion on the bowel or soft tissue which connects organs.

By using unique hand techniques through an oil-based massage, the bowels can be manipulated to enable removal of the trapped water, waste and gases, leading to a dramatic recovery of all the body's systems.

During times of trauma and stress ('fight or flight' response) the bowels are directly affected, causing torsions, twists, blockages and general absorption imbalances. These problems affect the absorption of water and nutrients and cause a breakdown of the body's own energy and immune system.

Twisting and torsion of the bowels also causes pockets of stagnant waste to become stuck and putrefy, resulting in the absorption of toxins into the blood, leading to further challenges to the body's immune system and the liver's reaction to toxins.

These problems within the body can remain for years, leading to conditions such as IBS, wind, bloating, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, constipation, diarrhoea, ME, fatigue, general malaise, suppressed immunity, all of which may benefit from a series of Anmo Fu treatments.

Because Anmo Fu works to release and balance all the abdominal organs, it may also have a beneficial affect on the reproductive organs and may help with fertility issues, menstrual disorders, PMT and menopausal problems.

On an emotional/mental level it has been noted in the past that it has helped with negative feelings, such as anger, irritability, frustration, anxiety, worry and fear.
